The newest installment in the Maton range is this all solid Australian Cutaway blackwood series guitar. This combination of timber produces a rich, warm tone along with great string separation. Tasmanian and Victorian forests are the home of blackwood, a coveted wood among guitar makers worldwide. This tonewood is closely related to Koa and is noted for its beautiful articulation and overtone-rich sound. The construction of only blackwood gives the guitar a distinct compression, blending frequencies into a single, one-of-a-kind voice usually only found in custom-built Koa guitars.
An streaky Ebony fretboard and bridge are also featured on the Blackwood series guitars. Ebony is arguably the finest of fretboard woods due to its glassy definition whilst still maintaing superb low end definition. It is one of the hardest wearing timbers oon Earth and will see you through a lifetime of playing.Â
